Camela Thompson grew up under the artistic tutelage of her grandmother, Dorothy Kriner, a prolific oil painter who specialized in Seattle area scenery. Camela's childhood home wasn't just full of artistic influence; the Kriners adored their pets, including Bernese mountain dogs that Camela showed in her teens. It was only natural that Camela's first drawing was of a dog, and her first commission was an oil painting of two cockapoos that she completed at the age of eleven. Camela has since dabbled in many different media from digital to graphite.
Camela currently resides with her husband and two rescue dogs in Seattle, Washington. She is also an author of Seattle-based dark urban fantasy which can be found on her author website.
